ε scan In-line Food Analyzer
ε scan in-line food analyzer uses Guided Microwave Spectrometry (GMS) technology to instantly analyze and measure moisture content, fat, protein and salt properties in food products that pass through a pipe.
By providing crucial product content and consistency information to a fraction of a percent, the ε scan analyzer improves process efficiency and product quality, resulting in significant cost savings.
The ε scan analyzer uses low levels of microwave energy—less than 0.03 watts—to precisely measure the bulk or constituent properties of a product as the wave passes through that product. Since the microwaves pass through the entire product, ε scan provides an intrinsic measurement, not just a portion or surface measurement.
Advantages:
- Easy to calibrate and integrates seamlessly into your process
- Accurate, real-time results with repeatability, precision and stability
- Replaces constant offline lab testing
- Saves time, money and materials—you get immediate data to help you
- control your process
- Reduce waste and save energy
- Protect brand value
- Analyzes multiple components
- Measurement is truly representative of the bulk of the product
- Results are not affected by product color
- No optical components that need maintenance or replacement
- High reliability with no moving parts
The ε scan analyzer measures:
Moisture in:
- Fruits and vegetables
- Snack foods such as corn masa
- Ground meats
- Dairy
- Pet food
