pH Sensor / ORP (Redox)
Sensor Monitoring of pH and redox (ORP) is important in many different industrial processes to reduce cost and optimize yield. The requirements of various industry processes are different. For example, in chemical processes sensors must withstand acids or caustic solutions at high temperatures. The electrodes may also require be certification for use in hazardous areas. In pharmaceutical and food processes measuring systems have to meet hygienic design, and must withstand many sterilization cycles and provide traceability for validation purposes.
pH measurement in high purity waters requires special precautions. The high purity pH assembly uses a shielded flow chamber and a permanent outflow of reference electrolyte for stable measurement.
Our high quality products meet specific needs in conformity with ATEX, FM, EHEDG plus meeting accuracy and ruggedness.
Transmitter
Transmitters are an integral part of on-line measurement systems used to monitor and control industrial processes. Mettler-Toledo Thornton offers a comprehensive range of transmitters for pH, DO, conductivity, resistivity, TOC, dissolved ozone, turbidity, CO2 and flow.
A wide range of transmitters meet specific customer needs in many different industries and with highest standards in line with the demands of modern process technology - from basic applications to sophisticated requirements such as HART®-, Profibus®-PA und FOUNDATION Fieldbus communication as well as EEx approvals for installation in hazardous areas.
Conductivity Sensor / Resistivity
Sensor Conductivity measurements are carried out in industrial processes primarily to obtain information on total ionic concentrations (e.g. dissolved compounds) in aqueous solutions. Widely used applications are water purification, CIP/SIP control and the measurement of concentration levels in solutions. The measuring system consists of an appropriate inline sensor directly inserted or in a housing, a cable connected to a transmitter converting the received signals to a measurement result or forwarding it to a DCS.
The conductivity sensors from Mettler-Toledo Thornton are designed for high process safety, rapid sensor replacement and quick and easy installation.
Total Organic Carbon Analyzer
Mettler-Toledo Thornton Total Organic Carbon sensors and analyzers provides fast, continuous measurement of ppb-level organic contamination using proven UV oxidation and conductivity measurement technology.
These products meet pharmaceutical USP <643>, <645> and EP 2.2.44 as well as semiconductor ultra pure water monitoring requirements.
Dissolved Ozone Sensor
In-line dissolved ozone/O3 sensors from Thornton are designed for reliable monitoring in the sanitization of pure waters for use in the pharmaceutical, microelectronics, beverage and bottled water industries. They provide stable measurements both in normal ozonation ranges and near zero after the ozone destruction process.
Flow Sensors
Mettler-Toledo Thornton's range of paddlewheel, vortex shedding, and sanitary turbine flow sensors ensure accurate flow measurement over the range of pure water treatment applications.
